Lyme Disease is an increasingly common bacterial infection that is acquired from the bite of an infected tick. Early diagnosis and antibiotic treatment provides the best chance of cure.
Although Lyme disease is the most common tick-borne disease in Scotland, ticks also carry a wide range of other diseases, including viruses.
