LRC Supporting DofE Outdoor Awareness

We were delighted to support Guides & Rangers from across Girlguiding Aberdeen & Shetland who recently came together for a weekend to learn the essential expedition skills for their Duke of Edinburgh's bronze & silver awards.
The training included all aspects of camp craft, navigation, emergencies, first aid and lots more.
As part of their first aid training, an overview of ticks & Lyme disease was given and the course leader, Lesley said "we are very grateful to the Lyme Resource Centre for providing us with additional resources that the girls could take home & share with their parents. We have used the leaflets & posters over the last few years which have been incredibly helpful and easy to understand. Thank you!"
