Schools and Youth Groups Fundraising
Fundraising with your school or youth group is a great way to support the work of Lyme Resource Centre alongside teaching young people how to stay safe from ticks when enjoying the great outdoors. (See our free educational resources for Schools and Youth Organisations)
You can download our FREE fundraising pack for all the information you need here.
Here are a few fundraising ideas that work really well with young people:
-
Dress in green for Lyme Awareness Month
-
Sponsored…football match, hike, swim, silence, run, walk, bike ride, skip. You name it, if you can do lots of it, you can get sponsored to do it!
-
Bake sale
-
Easter Raffle – make a hamper of Easter eggs and hold a raffle for Lyme Resource Centre.
-
Talent Show
-
Guess the baby – teachers/leaders bring in photos of themselves as a baby, and the children guess which teacher is which. They pay to enter and the person with the most correct guesses wins a prize.
-
Disco
-
Dragons Den – split into teams and give each team £5 or £10, they must then come up with fundraising ideas to increase the amount of money they have. The money raised goes to Lyme Resource Centre and the winning team gets a prize.
-
Name the bear – make a donation to take part and guess the name of the bear. The winner gets to keep the bear.
Here’s one example: Football competition to raise awareness for Lyme disease.
