Fundraising
Are you good at organising events and could raise some much needed funds that way? Or perhaps you could persuade your family and friends to undertake a sponsored event on your behalf, and in support of raising funds for LRC? Many of our supporters are holding a birthday or special fundraiser on social media sites like Facebook.
The funds you raise will be used for a number of initiatives, such as increasing the number of signs LRC are putting up across the country where ticks have been found, or providing LRC posters and leaflets to parks, medical practices and outdoor activity centres. Or you may wish to raise funds to deliver educational webinars to doctors, nurses and pharmacists to help them recognise and diagnose Lyme disease at the earliest opportunity and ensure patients receive appropriate antibiotic treatment according to the NICE guidelines.
There are so many ways you can help us to raise funds. There is information here to help you do that - or simply contact us for help.

Here’s one example :
Amati Global Investors ( a UK independent fund manager based in Edinburgh) donates 10% of its profits to UK charities. Rachel Le Derf, Head of Sales and Marketing at Amati Global Investors contacted LRC to say she wants to create a fundraising event to support the work of LRC. Rachel had met a young man whose life was cruelly halted as a result of undiagnosed Lyme disease. She is aiming to double what Amati would have donated to LRC by organising a fundraising ceilidh on Thurs 12 Oct 2023 in Edinburgh - which will simultaneously raise awareness of Lyme disease.
Could you run a similar fundraising event? Or perhaps you and your friends could buy tickets to attend the Ceilidh on 12 October? Please contact us for further details.
